    Ethylene Oxide Gas Sterilization also has the advantage compared to autoclave or steam sterilization in that it allows for an expiry date of 5 years from the date of manufacturing compared to the 1 to 2 years, which is typical for steam or autoclave sterilized products.
    At the end of the sterilization process, each piece of sterilized piercing jewelry is individually stamped with a production and expiration date as well as a lot number. Since this stamp is done with waterproof ink, it complies with European health regulations, which state that this information must be applied to the sterilized product in a nonremovable way.
